Jared Watene: “This isn’t the first letter to god song I’ve ever heard and I’m sure it wont be the be last, but its most certainly one of the best. On Good God Tom lays down poignant lyrics over Jyeah production telling God (and the listener too) exactly how he feels about the state of man made religion in this day and age. As usual he pulls off the difficult task of displaying complex rhyme schemes while being easy to follow and blunt, once again proving he is deserving of his success and place as arguably New Zealand’s best MC. Tyna Keelen and Hollie Smith take over the vocal duties on the second half of the song with a great duet which really adds to the song and makes it into a beautiful piece of music. Check out the video directed by Tom Gould for a nice twist at the end too.”
