As you know, I am 17 from Wanganui, on my last year of High School. Rap and Hip Hop music is something that has always been a part of my life since I was a child, and has always been my favourite music genre to listen to. For my influences there are too many to list, but of course all time greats and legends like Big L, Biggie, Pac, and Eminem have had an impact. I’ve been writing since I was about 11-12, and decided to take it to the next level by starting to record my own stuff about 1 year ago.
It has been a solo journey so far, making this mix tape. I work to the best of my knowledge and ability with free music production software and a rather cheap mic to create and mix my tracks. So don’t expect the listening quality of this mix tape to be of a high standard. I don’t really know what to expect from this, but I do hope to get some sort of recognition – Matimus
