07. Life’s A Bitch feat. Livin
I produced this on a shitty desktop at my mother n laws ha-ha the sample is to ill and i had just finished listening to illmatic so was actually planning to remix life’s a bitch on the beat for the hell of it. I ended up cutting up the chorus and sending the beat to livin who is a mc from Philly. This was the first time I’ve got shivers listening to something I’ve been a part of and livin really killed his verse. This song was a good venting session and both of us spit some deep shit. This is up there with one of my favourite songs on the album livin is a real dope mc and someone to watch out for!

08. After Your Soul prod by Snowgoons
The whole time i was writing this joint i was just buzzing out i had a Snowgoons beat on my hands. The beat is just a grimy piano banger which is perfect for me to just spit some shit. It was crying out for a scratch hook so i enlisted dj trickalome again to do his thing and he murked it! the line he used from apathy is ” try to hang me from a noose i rip the tree from its roots” and i thought that was mad ill for a Sammy gallows themed song. There’s two versions of this song on the net one is un mixed and sounds like shit when you compare it to the mixed version by Chris jones from thug music , he really brought this song to life adding in a bass line and some extra drums. I was honored that the Snowgoons were feeling my shit so expect to see more Sammy gallows and the Snowgoons in the future!!

09. Animal feat. Fact & Jay Roacher
Fact and jay are good friends and dudes I’ve looked up to in the scene since i was young so it was dope to get both of them on a track. Fact and jay are two of my favourite mcs in nz also and they both bodied this song. Facts got lines like “microphone silver back bolt cutters duffel bag” fuck his styles ill. Jay comes in and buries us all at the end, as jay does. nuff said.

10. Sacrifice feat. Banish prod by J Nyce
This song is produced by J nyce from Psych Ward who is one of my favourite producers and features Californian mc Banish. Most mcs should be able to relate to this, it takes a huge sacrifice to pursue your dreams for often not a lot of pay back and you have to give up a lot to try and perfect your art. Banish spits a real dope verse on here and the beat is sick as fuck. This song sums up my attitude towards my music career and where I want to go with it. I’ve spent years pursuing this shit and this is just the beginning for me.

11. What I Live For
Produced by myself this song is dedicated to my wife Kym I’m not the best at saying how I feel and shit but I find I’m best at doing it through a verse and my wife means more to me than any of the superficial bull shit in life. She’s put up with me and my music for years and has always been supportive and believed in me when no one else has. This is probably the realest song I’ve ever written and its dedicated to a beautiful woman.

12. Blessed Are The Sick
The closer for the album kind of sums up how I feel about shit in general. I suffer from depression, I can be a negative fuck and it’s nice to vent on a song. The beat is produced by Grimm Logic from Norway and is dark as hell. I’m not sure how the whole of nz took my album but at the end of the day I could really give a fuck if no one listened to it, my album did what I wanted it to do globally and I had a blast making it!!
